Site Based Trainings

So you want to be a

Street Outreach Volunteer?

Amazing!! We're so happy to have you on board! In order to do that, though,

there are a couple of necessary steps you'll need to take:

(You did take Tier 1 Training already, right? 😉 If not, head back to the Home Page and click the Tier 1 Training. Big Blue # 1. Can't miss it)

Take the Tier 2 Training

On the first page of the Tier 2 Training, you'll find information on how to get FINGER PRINTED & SUBMIT A BACKGROUND CHECK

Please note: The only "criminal" conduct that excludes a person from serving with the WAB Warming Center is harm committed against a person of a vulnerable population such as child abuse, domestic violence, criminal sexual conduct, distribution of illicit substances to a minor, etc. Concerns such as DUIs or possession of illegal substances does not exclude a person from serving with the WABWC because harm was not caused to a person of a vulnerable population.

While you wait for your background check to go through, please log on to Bloomerang and see what Community Based Volunteer Opportunities there are for you.

Once you complete the Tier 2 Training AND successfully pass a Background Check, you will need to take the

"Street Outreach Specific Trainings"

Jackson Morley (jackson@wabwarmingcenter.org) is our Street Outreach Coordinator and has put together some great video trainings outlining what it's like to be a Street Outreach Volunteer. Once you have completed the video trainings, you will then work with Jackson to arrange times to attend the In Person and/or Zoom Trainings that he provides.
